AIR has been hard at work with Third Coast's Johanna Zorn and Julie Shapiro on special sessions and opportunities for producers at the upcoming PRPD programming conference. We hope you're going to come. Third Coast vets will be pleased to know that we aren't going to let the year pass without convening a session in Cleveland styled after the highly successful AIR "pitch session" at the Third Coast's annual conference in recent years. AIR and the TCF are teaming up to present "The Other Pitch" on Thursday, September 16. Four top public radio decision-makers -- Peter Clowney from American Public Media, Sally Eisele from Chicago Public Radio, KUOW's Jeff Hansen, and Connie Walker from WUNC will be on hand to take your pitches for new story/program ideas. We need YOU to step up and volunteer to be one of the pitchers at "The Other Pitch." Third Coast will provide a $300 scholarship to help pay your travel expenses.
