Description: Wyoming Public Media Program Director is a senior position that oversees all operational aspect of the station's programming, on-air sound, production, audience research, and online integration. The Program Director supervises, analyze and recommend WPM's daily on-air programming schedule, on-air announcers, and internet activity.
Requirements: Set performance standards of excellence for all air staff, plan and monitor programming budget. Devise strategies for programming, air-sound and production using broadcast professional tools including but not limited to audience research, and listener feedback survey. Program Director also interacts with all WPM areas and department heads, coordinate with development staff to produce effective on-air fundraising, suggest talent for and timing of on-air pledge breaks. Schedule and assist in training staff in effective on-air pitching, produce fundraising announcements and pre-drive campaigns. Participate in on-air fundraising, produce on-air promotion, and perform on-air duties as needed as regular or fill-in air shift in music or news as required. This position requires the employee to work outside of the 8 to 5 schedule, as needed.
