Position Title: Senior Producer, "Word of Mouth"

Description: New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR), a statewide radio network and highly respected content producer, is seeking a full-time SENIOR PRODUCER to manage the daily production of our midday show Word of Mouth. We are looking for a creative, energetic, strategic and experienced producer to manage the daily production of this new and exciting show. Word of Mouth, on-air and online, looks at new and emerging ideas, investigating everything from science and technology, to health and the environment, to new trends in popular culture and the arts. This new show has unlimited potential for expansion beyond its current broadcast schedule and we have aspiration to bring Word of Mouth to a wider audience. The successful candidate will lead the expansion efforts and will inspire the team to produce unique, distinctive and outstanding content every day. We are also looking for someone with an innate sensibility for new media and a clear understanding of how people are accessing content on a variety of platforms. The Senior Producer will work with a full time Host, full time Producer/Director, VP for Programming, New Media Director, Production Manager, volunteers, interns and contributors. NHPR's new state-of-the-art broadcast facility is headquartered in Concord, NH and gives us the space and technology to grow and explore new and pioneering programming ideas. Required: Requirements include BA in relevant field or equivalent experience; 5 years of radio producing experience, preferably in public broadcasting and some interest in new trends in a variety of fields, excellent writing, editing and production skills and familiarity with digital editing systems; strong management skills and ability to coach talent, creativity, ability to take direction and a collaborative work style, multi-tasking skills and an ability to work autonomously.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
