Position Title: Radio News Producer
Organization: Lakeshore Public Radio (NW IN Public Broadcasting, Inc.)
Description: Lakeshore Public Radio is seeking a resourceful and organized producer to take charge of a fast-growing morning news program and afternoon public affairs program. The producer will prepare copy and edit sound for our four-hour weekday morning newscast, gather information on overnight and breaking news, present business news on-air and interact with our morning show host. In addition, you will assist our afternoon host with booking and confirming guests for a daily public affairs program. Knowledge of Northwest Indiana events and issues is a plus.
Requirements: The ideal candidate should have experience in radio news and/or production experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Telecommunications, or the equivalent. Candidate should have knowledge of digital audio editing and writing copy for radio. Hours are 3am to noon.
