Title: Radio Broadcast Engineer
Organization: Wisconsin Public Radio
Description: This position provides technical services such as design, construction, installation, repair, maintenance of electronic and mechanical broadcast equipment and systems in Wisconsin Public Radio facilities under the supervision of the Director of Engineering and Operations.
Requirements : Knowledge of and experience in broadcast engineering. Proven ability to properly install and maintain broadcast/recording/transmitting/test equipment. Skilled at soldering and other electronic tool usage. Ability to regularly lift and carry equipment weighing at least 40 pounds. Ability to climb, reach, bend and kneel to install and maintain equipment. Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and repair. Knowledge of and ability to install, configure and maintain computer operating systems such as Windows 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, Linux, and Macintosh OS. Effectively use software programs such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Internet Explorer and other web browsers, QuickTime, RealAudio, and other media players. Effective organizational and communication skills. Society of Broadcast Engineers professional certification desirable.
Salary: $19.054 - $28.58 per hour
