Position Title: Program Manager, Radio

Organization:  KVCRFM

Description: Under direction, oversees and participates in the day-to-day coordination, programming, and broadcasting operations of the District's television or radio station; identifies, reviews, recommends, and schedules appropriate programming; prepares public information materials; develops and recommends long-range programming goals and objectives; and ensures station automation is programmed and working correctly.   

Requirements : 

1. Skilled in the wide range of production typical of a public radio news and information station; 

2. Demonstrated ability to produce and organize on-air fundraising; 

3. Demonstrated ability to convey station's case for membership giving in a way that is compelling and listener-focused;

 4. High comfort level with on-air hosting and news production, both in the studio and in the field (implementation of Morning Edition Graduate School practices a plus) including ability to create local newscasts with minimal editorial oversight; 

5. Understanding of public radio programming practices and listener behaviors as measured by RRC/Arbitron, Audigraphics and Media Audit data; 

6. Familiarity with common online Content Management Systems and web authoring tools; 

7. Ability to use computer networks; 

8. Knowledge of IP audio systems such as Axia Element and Livewire. Knowledge of: Operations, services, and activities of a public television and radio station.
