Position Title: Program Director, Northeast Indiana Public Radio (WBOI-WBNI)
Position Overview:
Northeast Indiana Public Radio (NIPR) seeks a program director to provide creativity, strategy, vision, and energy. We're a small organization (annual budget of about $1.4M) located in Fort Wayne, IN. Here’s what we need:
A leader to set the example in work ethic, insistence on quality, effort, and excellence with the ability to lead staff and volunteers to a consistent, quality sound in every part of every day.
An analyst and strategist to connect us to our community through programming and meet our overall goals and mission.
An innovator to fuel our passion for local programming and creative use of national programming with experience, boldness, and intelligent risk-taking.
A collaborator to serve as an active participant throughout the organization, including development, news, and community relations.
A quality nazi to ensure that we sound fantastic, all the time. You must believe that while perfection is difficult, it is always the goal and that "good enough" just isn't. We have a top notch, full-time engineer to serve as a partner in the effort. While on air work is not the focus of this position, in our small shop, it's necessary, so those skills are important, too. More details at nipr.fm
Qualifications: Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree and at least five years programming experience, including on air experience. Prefer candidates with significant budget responsibilities and staff supervision experience. Position is available immediately, but we can wait for the right person.
How to Apply: Send a cover letter, resume, salary history, and a sample of your on-air style to:
