Position Title: Director of Network Operations, Iowa Public Radio
Duties/Responsibilities:
Iowa Public Radio (IPR) seeks an energetic leader for the position of Director of Network Operations. This individual should possess skills in project management, problem-solving, and communication to lead the network operations department in support of IPR's mission and vision creating an infrastructure that adopts consolidated methods through new hardware, software and job sharing in order to deliver greater efficiency in operating the network.
The Director of Network Operations is responsible for the strategic leadership, management, and oversight of all IPR operations, engineering, and information technology services, including equipment maintenance and repair as well as hardware and software replacement schedules. Additionally, the Director of Network Operations is responsible for communicating and filing required documents with the FCC and coordinating the funding relationship with PTFP.
IPR was created in 2005 to manage and operate Iowa's three Regent-governed public radio organizations, the WOI Radio Group, KUNI/KHKE, and WSUI/KSUI. IPR is a developing organization consisting of over 60 staff, annual revenue of $246 million, and a plan to expand service throughout the entire state.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a four year accredited university, five to seven years experience of demonstrated successful and increasingly responsible experience in engineering, information technology, operations, staff management, and budgeting in a broadcasting, telecommunications, or similar industry, and knowledge of RF and digital technologies.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in project management principles, information technology management, and SBE certification.
