Title: Broadcast Producer, Morning Edition Host/News Producer

Description : Engages and informs the WOSU weekday Morning Edition audience; integrates local, regional and NPR content for a unique Columbus sound and service; writes, produces and voices local station breaks segments of Morning Edition to meet time, quality, accuracy, editorial and performance standards; oversees on-air operation of radio station during Morning Edition; collaborates with WOSU Morning News Anchor to promote local news coverage and assist with breaking news stories; prepares and hosts live and pre-recorded interview segments; serves as host for other WOSU News and Information programming; produces news stories, series and features that meet WOSU News editorial guidelines and deadlines; prepares stories and associated content for placement on wosu.org, engages audience on social media channels, participates in fundraising and promotional activities, on-air and in the community; represents WOSU to the industry and community; reports local news from WOSU for national programming as appropriate; participates in meetings and in editing and coaching sessions; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in journalism or communication or an equivalent combination of education and experience; demonstrable broadcast writing skill, professional quality voice and engaging on-air air presence; considerable (2 years) experience in broadcast journalism and/or reporting desired; public broadcasting experience desired; Television experience a plus; Proficiency in following software: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word; digital audio editing; Photoshop or other image editing; Valid drivers license required; Knowledge of Central Ohio desired.
Salary: $40,000- $44,000
