The Director of Content is the senior professional responsible for strategy and execution of the content and programming for WFAE and its related operations, which include both on-air and emerging platforms for content delivery. The Director is responsible for the planning and oversight of all program schedules. This person is also responsible for the execution and quality control of WFAE's locally originated program content, whether in audio, text or video form. This person monitors station standards for the non-commercial nature of the programming and its suitability for WFAE's journalism standards. WFAE's content is informed by the latest in audience research and qualitative studies of public media users. The Director collaborates in cross-departmental marketing efforts to ascertain listener needs, to serve those needs, to encourage citizens' use of our content and to enhance WFAE's connection to its service areas.
