Title: Assistant Producer
Organization: WMFE-FM
Description: (part-time/temporary). Assists in producing talk and public affairs programming, primarily the weekly program, Intersection, in conjunction with Intersection Host and News Director. Research and develop program topics; identify, recruit, and schedule program guests; write and produce promos; write program script and interview questions; edit program and prepare for air; and post program on website, Facebook, and Twitter. Maintain a working knowledge of current events and trends in Central Florida, uphold highest journalistic ethics and broadcast production.
Requirements : Requires solid experience in journalism; strong verbal, interpersonal,
written communication skills; and strong computer and research skills;
and a valid Florida Driver License, personal auto insurance, and an
acceptable driving record. Prefer at least one year%u2019s experience
in research, writing, and/or program production in a broadcast or print
news/interview setting; and familiarity with Adobe Audition or other
digital audio editing software. This is a grant-funded position which
expires at the end of 2011 and requires a minimum of 20 hours per week
