Position Title: Science Reporter

Organization: St. Louis Public radio - 90.7 KWMU-FM

Description: St. Louis Public Radio - 90.7 KWMU, NPR affiliate, is seeking a full-time producer/science reporter to plan, develop, and produce science-related news features and spots for broadcast during news and talk programming. Develop ideas for science-related news stories and features. Research, write, produce and edit science, technology and medical news stories. Conduct studio, remote, and phone interviews. Produce and host St. Louis On The Air Science specials. Participate in station development and promotional functions. Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements:  A Bachelor's degree required. Background in covering science related stories preferred. Two years of radio broadcasting/reporting/production experience is required. Must meet St. Louis Public Radio's standard of NPR-style reporting, conversational on-air delivery and excellent writing and editing skills.  Public radio reporting experience and digital editing experience is desirable.
