Title : Broadcast Producer - Morning Edition Host/Promotions

Organization : WOSU Public Media

Description : Under the supervision of the Radio Program Director, the Morning Edition Host/Promotions Producer serves as local WOSU host for Morning Edition; operates broadcast equipment;writes, edits and schedules on-air radio promotional copy for programs, events, membership drives and other WOSU Radio programming, development and community activities; gathers and integrates detailed program information from local and national program sources; writes articles and promo listings for web, print, and interdepartmental communications; produce promotional spots, listeners testimonials, and other promotion elements as assigned, gathers writes and edits fundraising content; plans fundraising breaks; develops library of on-air fundraising content and listener testimonials; works with program producers and WOSU Radio Operations to acquire fundraising programs; builds fundraising show rundowns; participates in on-air fundraiser as talent and producer as assigned; prepares quarterly FCC issues and program reports

Requirements : Bachelor's degree in broadcast communication or an equivalent combination of education and experience; minimum two years experience in on-air hosting, preferably in public radio; experience with creative writing for publication or broadcast required; strong organizational skills necessary; ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously; ability to meet multiple deadlines; ability to work collaboratively with peers and supervisors.

Salary : $42,000- $46,000
