Job Title: Morning Edition Host and Senior News Producer

Location: New England Public Radio

Job Description: New England Public Radio (88.5FM WFCR and 640AM WNNZ) seeks a creative, motivated reporter/producer to host Morning Edition for its growing news department. In addition to hosting regular newscasts, the host will anchor "Morning Edition Extra," a 20-minute Friday morning local program, and produce high-quality spots, two-ways and features about events and people in western New England. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer and reporter with a conversational, authoritative on-air presence and have the ability to organize and effectively deliver multiple live newscasts.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with three years experience as a radio or television reporter or program host. Excellent communication/language skills and judgment in evaluating and handling news and public information. Ability to: research, report, write, edit, produce and voice high-quality spot and feature material consistent with public radio styles and standards; travel to locations and sources of news stories; work as part of a team; work hours outside the normal business day; work under deadlines.

WFCR is located in the heart of the Connecticut River Valley of western Massachusetts, a region renowned for distinguished educational institutions and a vibrant artistic and cultural life. The area is easily accessible to the major metropolitan centers of the Northeast.

Salary: $44,100 to $54,300
