The Essentials of Local News, Formatics, and Underwriting

MEGS sm is the first national effort aimed at assuring peak performance on local stations.

Originally developed with a focus on Morning Edition®,  MEGS sm principles can be applied to all news programming and station-produced journalism, including Middays and All Things Considered® .  Any programming that has many different elements must be managed successfully to maximize audience service. We encourage stations interested in all stages of development to attend.

Over the last five years, MEGS sm workshops have helped nearly 100 station upgrade their air sound and their journalism.  Bringing together program teams - minimally, the host with producer and/or PD and ideally all involved staff - makes for a powerful experience that cannot be matched in the day-to-day environment.

The training team will be MEGS sm co-founders Peter Dominowski and Scott Williams, with MEGS sm journalism consultant Tanya Ott.

Need more information?  Contact Peter Dominowski, peter@markettrendsresearch.com, or (719) 541-5374.

MEGS sm offers different workshops to help stations improve all facets of their local presentation in this critical daypart.

MEGS sm is funded in part by NPR.

All Things Considered,  Morning Edition, Morning Edition Grad School, NPR, MEGS and J-MEGS are service marks of National Public Radio, Inc.
