WUNC Show Promotion:
The State of Things

We do daily promos. A quick, 29-second recorded spot runs on air in the evenings and the morning before the show.

We also email the text of our promos to our listserv and post them on our web site. The purpose is to encourage people to listen and to tell them why they should be interested in the show. Sell it in as few words as possible – they should be catchy, to-the-point, and short, short, short.

Here are two examples:
  • I’m Frank Stasio.
After denying it for years, many of the biggest producers of greenhouse gasses now admit that global warming is a real threat. And they’re calling for rules to limit CO2. • I’m Frank Stasio.
