2012 BOARD ELECTION TIMELINE
By April 1: Determine questions to be asked of all candidates.
Identify people who would be good board candidates and assure a balance of interests on the board:
- appropriate skills for the current and future needs of the board
- demographic – i.e. large/small market, ethnicity, gender, region
- membership representation – stations, producers, programmers
April 25: Election mailing goes out to membership soliciting candidates.
May 11: Letters due/distributed to committee.
May 15: Committee reviews/discusses letters - screens candidates using criteria
May 18: Slate selected/announced.
May 31: Seven signatures of support due at PRPD for additional self-nominated candidates.
June 4: Election Balloting opens and candidate letters posted for review.
July 1: Final day to receive votes.
